Multimodal model for the Aix Marseille Provence MetropolisDevelopment of a multimodal travel model
Lieu : France - Marseille
Client : Marseille Provence Metropole
Le projet
The Marseille-Provence-Métropole urban community commissioned Setec International to create a four-stage multimodal traffic model covering the entire future Aix-Marseille metropolis.
This model, calibrated to the 2009 EMD and produced in the TransCAD environment, is used in a number of prospective studies on mobility in the Marseille metropolitan area, and in particular helps to define and develop Marseille’s future public transport network.
Nos missions
- Development of a 4-stage multimodal model using TransCAD software;
- Calibration of generation, distribution and modal choice models using data from the Bouches du Rhône household travel survey carried out in 2009;
- Calibration of car and public transport assignments based on count data and surveys;
- Development of reference scenarios for 2023 (PDU) and 2030;
- Use of the model in several travel studies.
