Le projet

The Malagasy government has launched a public tender for a 28-year concession to finance, design, develop, operate, maintain and service the Ivato and Nosy Be airports in Madagascar.

The program includes

  • preliminary work that took place in Ivato in 2016:
    • Construction of an aircraft parking area,
    • 450m² extension and refurbishment of the existing 525m² Presidential Pavilion,
    • Creation of a 2400 m² car parking area.
  • Development work at Ivato (1.8 million pax by 2030):
    • construction of a new 17,500 m² two-storey international terminal,
    • renovation of the existing international terminal to handle domestic flights,
    • reinforcement of the existing 3100-metre runway and tarmac.
  • Development work on Nosy Be (0.3 M. pax) :
    • renovation of the existing 1,800 m² terminal,
    • renovation of the existing 2230 m runway,
    • airport infrastructure upgrades.

Nos missions

Independent engineering mission for the firm investment program, divided into 3 phases.

Phase 1 takes place before the start of operations, with : –

  • Review of the APS level study file,
  • Review of APD-level design documents for the concrete structure and structural steelwork,
  • Acceptance of preliminary work.

 

Phase 2 takes place during the execution of the investment program and includes :

  • Review of execution documents,
  • Inspection of work (conformity, quality, adherence to schedule),
  • Approval of project modifications,
  • Acceptance of work,
  • Review of maintenance manuals, aerodrome manuals, operations manuals and environmental management plans.

 

Phase 3 corresponds to the year of perfect completion and includes in particular :

  • Reservations lifted,
  • Settlement of disagreements and disputes.

 

For this project, the technical fields involved are numerous: programming, structure, airport systems, fire safety, fluids, high current, low current, pavement, geotechnics, sanitation…
