Le projet

The project involves widening the A57 freeway to 2×3 lanes over a distance of 6.75 km, between the Benoît Malon interchange and the Pierre Ronde motorway junction.

The chosen layout aims to :

  • Improve traffic flow by increasing capacity on the A57,
  • Improve user safety by reducing accident-prone areas,
  • Optimize the operation of the various diffusers and connecting junctions,
  • Improve integration into the urban fabric and develop soft modes of transport,
  • Improve living conditions for local residents (reduce noise and speed pollution),
  • Encourage the use of public transport by building VRTCs along a large part of the line,
  • Reinforce intermodality by creating bus stops on the A57 motorway.
