Le projet
The 2014-2018 National Development Plan identifies air transport as the preferred mode of transport to serve the country’s isolated regions. In this context, a public investment plan led by the Colombian Civil Aviation Authority has been put in place to ensure the maintenance and rehabilitation of regional airport platforms, and to enable their development to meet future needs.
The Colombian Pacific region is among those identified as being at risk of isolation, and will benefit from this strategy to improve and develop airport infrastructures.
Nos missions
setec’s scope of work includes the creation of the ground plans for Guapi, Nuquí and Condoto airports, with a particular focus on each of the three airports:
- Diagnosis of current state and inventory of installations
- Study of the socio-economic context
- Traffic forecasts for passengers, cargo and movements to 2048
- Assessment of current airport capacity and future needs
- Proposing development alternatives
- Details of short-, medium- and long-term development options
- Cost estimates for all planned developments
The study was accompanied by several consultation meetings with the Civil Aviation Authority and local stakeholders.
