Le projet

His Majesty King Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa Bahrain has expressed his willingness to collaborate with France on a strategy to embody its 2030 economic development plan.

It was therefore decided to set up a group of experts known as BFTPI (Bahrain French Town Planning Initiative) to provide the necessary technical assistance to the kingdom and its government departments. Expertise France, a French development and international cooperation agency, has been mandated by the French Ministry of Ecology and Sustainable Development to lead the BFTPI initiative. A consortium of three French engineering firms has taken up the challenge: Arep, Egis and Setec.

Nos missions

La proposition de BFTPI repose sur une approche intégrée et collaborative visant à créer de la valeur, en intégrant les processus et acteurs en place. 3 phases structurent cette étude :

réorganisation et support de la GDUP (1ère étape)
implémentation d’une stratégie coordonnée suivie d’actions concernant l’usage du sol (2e étape)
la mise en application des concepts et l’accompagnement de projets : réalisation du masterplan du front de mer (3e étape)

La mise en œuvre d’une stratégie volontaire et coordonnée d’aménagement du territoire relève de la responsabilité de Setec, avec Setec Organisation dans le rôle de mandataire.
